My name is Yvonne Blume and I’m a love junkie. I photograph love.
Sounds cheesy? Maybe. But my photography is all about photographing love in action: Weddings, families, newborns, children with their parents, couples in love, it’s all about love at the end of the day.
I want to create photographs with meaning for my clients. Photographs so cherished, that they are the first items clients would fetch if their house was on fire (not that I want your house to catch fire, of course!).
I’ve been a keen photographer since a very young age, but my career first took me into the field of fashion, working as a model booker, and then into a life on the front line of investment banking, before following my instincts and establishing YBPHOTOGRAPHIC in 2004.
My experience in working in fashion helped train my eye for photographic composition, beauty and style, whilst days spent in the frantic environment of the City dealing room, have taught me patience, calm and resolve in the face of drama and excitement – qualities which I bring to each shoot – whether working with kids or excited brides and their families on a wedding day.
I love photography as an artform and am continually striving to improve my art through workshops, forum discussions and other learning methods, to ensure that my work stays fresh and that my clients get the very best of my creative juice.
