My name is Yvonne Blume and I am the YB in YBPHOTOGRAPHIC. I am the company's owner, accountant, marketing director, creative director, IT department and tea lady. But most importantly, I am your photographer.
Whilst the main site is there to give you all the salient facts about Wedding and Lifestyle Photography at YBPHOTOGRAPHIC, I have set up this blog to give you more indepth information and to fulfil three main goals:
Getting to know you:
I want to give you, my current and future clients, the opportunity to get to know me better. Who is this person you are inviting into our home to photograph your loved ones; the person who will be a constant presence on one of the biggest days of your life? I want to give you a bit of insight into what drives me, how I think and feel about my work and how I go about creating it.
Sharing my work:
Then I would like to share my work with you. I intend to publish a selection of my favourite images from most of my shoots, be they weddings, engagement, or portrait sessions, immediately after the event to give you a sneak preview of what's to come once the editing process is complete, and to tell you a bit about each event. I will also share some of my personal work with you, such as my travel photography or any special projects I decide to develop.
Providing an information resource:
And finally, there is a vast amount of misinformation about wedding photography on the internet, particularly on some of the larger bridal forums and I hope to help set the record straight on some of the bigger issues. The majority of my wedding clients are getting married for the first time and I hope to share some of my experience to help you arrange your day to run as smoothly as possible. To this end I will write a series of articles, intended to build up over time, to become a comprehensive resource in the form of a Wedding FAQ for brides. But this will take time to develop - Rome was not built in a day. The idea of the blog is for it to be a shared experience and as such, I welcome your comments on your feedback. If there are particular issues you would like to see discussed for the FAQ, please do let me know I will do my best to incorporate them.I look forward to interacting with you though my blog and, of course, am always on hand via email should you have any off-blog questions or comments.
