Jorgensen Brushed Pewter, white mats with black core.

I have just completed Mary and Danny’s album, with one of my favourite covers, the Brushed Pewter.

Brushed Pewter

This is a very stylish cover, which makes for a sophisticated yet modern album.

Brushed Pewter

The spine is covered in the Standard Black Leather,

and the pages are “album bound” with each individual page being stitched into place.

The brushed pewter surface, is about 5 mm thick and solid,

Brushed Pewter

and to protect your table surface against any scratches from the album, Jorgensen have very thoughtfully added little
rubber feet to the underside of the album.

The page edges are protected by a slim coated cloth edge, and the corners are covered in black metal to prevent against any damage.

Mary and Danny chose a white mat with black core.

You will notice that the white mat is not a “clean” white, but is a textured matt that has more of a “mottled” effect as the difference in thickness allows some of the darkness from the black core come through to varying extents.

This means that although you get the white on black effect, the mats are less sensitive to showing fingerprints than super squeeky white mats.

This really is one of my favourite album colour/matting combinations and has proven very popular with my current clients.
